Welcome to the home of the Edwardsville Tigers boys basketball website, sponsored by the Tiger Pride Booster Club.
Edwardsville basketball has won has 34 regional and 10 sectional championships, with eight trips to the State Finals producing four trophies for top-four finishes. The Tigers posted back-to-back state trips for the first time, placing third in 2013 and fourth in 2014 while eclipsing 30 wins both seasons.
In 2014-15, Tigers coach Mike Waldo enters his 27thseason at Edwardsville with a 555-118 record that includes eight Southwestern Conference, 19 regional and six sectional titles. An Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Famer, Waldo has sent 18 Tigers on to play Division I college basketball and had 11 players earn first or second team Associated Press All-State honors.

Edwardsville is a charter member of the Southwestern Conference. The foundation of the current conference can be traced back to 1923 when the Southwest Conference was formed. The conference was dissolved and reformed in 1934-35 as the Madison-St. Clair Conference. The conference was renamed the Southwestern Conference in 1937-38. Edwardsville left the Southwestern Conference in 1979 for 17 years before rejoining the league in 1996. Current SWC members include: Alton, Belleville East, Belleville West, Collinsville, East St. Louis, Edwardsville, Granite City, and O’Fallon.
